Academy Press Release September 2018

One Touch Football Academy & Education Scholarship

The start of the academic year has been a busy one for a number of reasons and we’re only two weeks in!

Recruitment, over fifty students over a two-year intake have enrolled which has been fantastic as our Academy continues to grow year on year.

During induction week we had lots going on and planned for our students. This included Premier League Scout from Brighton and Hove Albion coming in, a personal trainer from Westside Gym, Stamford and our internal fixtures between all three sides. Off the pitch the lads showed a great attitude towards their initial assessments.

We also have a new member of staff. Harsh joins us from Honeyhill School in Peterborough and will work with the first year students on their education as well as on the training pitch.

We have also hosted two fixtures against Grantham College/ Harrowby Utd FC with both teams coming out victorious with our first team winning 3-1 and our second team winning 8–3.

Glenn Vaughan said” Its been a great start to the programme and we have continued to build from our first year on and off the pitch. The students have conducted themselves in a very professional manner and strive to improve week on week”.

If you’ve left school and still considering what to do or in an environment that your not sure is for you then we are still recruiting.
