On Tuesday 6th March One Touch Football16+ Scholarship & Academy went to The Gym in Peterborough where they spent the afternoon finding more about how the health and fitness industry and help with their future careers.
Our students took part in a Q&A session with Bali Boughey, The Gym General Manager and James Millar, The Gym Assistant Manager. Here the students asked very good questions about the industry to find out more about the importance of maintaining and sustaining a good training regime to avoid injury and to be at the top of their performance.
The students also had the chance to meet one of the Personal Trainers, Jimmy Oliver. With over 10 years experience in the industry Jimmy could offer a wealth if knowledge and information; the students really engaged with him. Jimmy then put the students through the paces in one of the studios. He instructed a total body, high intensity workout combining weights and body weight exercises. Needless to say it pushed the students and they worked up a sweat, a quality session off the football pitch complete!
On behalf of the Academy we would like to thank The Gym for having us, all of the students spoke highly of how informative the afternoon was, amongst many aching bodies.
